Calcined Brown Fused Alumina

Calcined Brown Fused Alumina is Brown Fused Alumina processed with high temperature. Its main characteristics are small expansion factor, good hydrophily, good toughness, high intensity, no map crack and rust spots on bonded abrasives, etc.

After 800 ℃―1350 ℃ calcination, hydrophily of abrasive grain has been enhanced 3.5 times than before, which mainly because volatiles on abrasive grain surface and other impurities are cleared, the low-melting materials are burned, the capillary phenomenon on abrasive surface increases. Without the volatiles and impurities, purity and cleanliness of abrasive grain has been improved. Thus, during the process of abrasive tools manufacturing, abrasive grains and binding agent can be bonded easily, which improve the abrasives tools strength for 30% durability. After calcined, the abrasive grains contain iron expand crack, magnetic materials can be removed easily, therefore no rust spots appear on appearance of abrasives and grinding ability will be better. Better accuracy and grinding effect during processing, Calcined Brown Fused Alumina is suitable for producing high level abrasives products.
